Composition of the fragrance:
The opening notes are of ginger and citrus combined with a gourmand saffron accord. This saffron was grown especially for YSL in the Ourika Gardens in Morocco. The composition then unfolds with an absolute of orange blossom and aromatic lavender, providing a slightly masculine tension. The background of the fragrance carries notes of warm vanilla, honey and vetiver.
Story of the fragrance:
Libre means "free" in French. And since freedom was a highly valued ideal for Yves Saint Laurent himself, the Yves Saint Laurent Libre Le Parfum fragrance was created. In the Libre fragrance collection, it is the most intense and bold interpretation.
The flacon, underlining the strong character of the fragrance, stands out with its sharp, straight lines, a golden collar under the asymmetrical cap and a gold logo winding around the glass flacon. However, the contents of the flacon are now significantly darker than their predecessors. They have a reddish, almost fiery hue.
